With our exclusive Bite Equilibration Technique, we have been able to successfully eliminate approximately 95% of all chair side adjustments.

The Steps - 1 to 3
The technique (as per the pictures below) consists of 1. eliminating bubbles from the occluding surfaces 2. with fine articulating paper, looking for high spots in occlusion and eliminating them 3. until more stable contact markings appear. Now the mounted models more accurately represent the patient’s occlusion.

Kois Dento-Facial Analyzer System
Now Available at Klausz Dental Laboratories

Panadent's System transers the cant or tilt to a Panadent articulator

Recently introduced by Panadent Corporation is the Kois Dento-Facial Analyzer System. This system measures the cant or tilt of the patient’s occlusal plane in three planes of space and transfers this information to the Panadent Articulator.
Based on Dr. John Kois’s research revealing an average axis-incisal edge distance of 100mm, The Kois Dento-Facial Analyzer was developed to simplify the procedures of transferring and mounting dental casts for both aesthetics and function. Dr. Kois’ research is substantiated and corroborated by Bonwill’s Equilateral Triangle, Monson’s Spherical Theory, and Weinberg’s Studies in 1963.

Dr. Kois’ studies were done using different ethnic backgrounds and genders.

Bar Chart - Shows distribution of measurements

The bar chart shows the distribution of measurements from the hinge axis to the incisal edge of the maxillary central incisors. It can be noted, approximately 80% are within 5mm of the average 100mm axis-incisal distance, which is approximately the same percentage reported in research comparing arbitrary earbows. The horizontal portion of the Analyzer Bow will register an occlusal-horizontal plane of reference. The Vertical Rod will register the facial midline for the sagittal plane of reference; and the average axis-incisal distance of 100mm relates to the frontal plane of occlusion The main benefit of this system is that it is not based on the external soft tissue characteristics of the patient. It is not fooled into providing an inaccurate horizontal plane based on the unevenness of the patient’s ears or eyes.

Your Professional Ability to Inspire Patients
For most dentists the concept of “selling” was not something they signed up for when applying to dental school. In fact for many clinicians, when they hear the word “sales” it conjures up images of manipulating people into parting with their hard earned money. This viewpoint can be somewhat self limiting because most of us practice in a fee for service environment where the average insurance plan does not completely cover a lot of what modern dentistry has to offer. This means that our ability to deliver optimal health and wellness to society will rest largely on our ability to inspire patients to desire & pay for what we can do for them.

Dental "Sales" - Redefined
In light of this we must redefine the term “Sales” by giving it a more positive and purposeful meaning; one that will guide us towards delivering a more positive buying experience to our customers. “Sales” is a process of helping people to make decisions that will add to the quality of their lives. This means that our entire case presentation must be converted from the all too common one-sided regurgitation of dental information (product and services dump) to a more interactive process that gets patients involved and guides them towards discovering for themselves that which is in their best interest. When you sell with ethics & integrity you don’t have to approach people from the mindset of a peddler: rather, your goal will be to gain rapport and understand their objectives so you can help them get what they want/need.

How we deliver the selling/buying experience to our patients is completely within our control.
