An O.I.C. Specialty Laboratory
Occlusion - Implant - Cosmetic

"We Build Advanced Occlusal Concepts
Into Everything We Do!"
We've grown into an O.I.C. Laboratory!
At Klausz Dental Laboratories, we are committed to providing our clients with a full range of services, restorations, and appliances to meet all aspects of clinical dentistry. To meet your expectations we have grown into an Occlusal-Implant-Cosmetic (O.I.C.) Laboratory.

With over 45 years of experience in the dental technology field, we build advanced occlusal concepts into every restoration and appliance we custom fabricate. With a greater understanding of how teeth, muscles and joints work together, we can create restorations that not only look lifelike and aesthetic, but can last longer and function better. Allow us to apply the knowledge we’ve accumulated into your next restoration or appliance.

We hope our e-Newsletters prove to be informative, educational, and beneficial. Each issue will cover different topics on materials, techniques, services and educational opportunities.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with specific questions. We look forward to working with you.

Let’s Stop Wasting Chair Time…
With Our Exclusive Bite Equilibration Technique!

Poll: Adjustments are a #1 Complaint
In a poll of dental offices, the number one complaint with fixed restorations, be it porcelain fused to metal, all ceramic, or polymer glass is the excessive time loss associated with adjusting the occlusion or even having to grind in the bites.
We’ve found a solution that has proven itself over time.

Eliminate adjustments with the Bite Equilibration Technique
With our exclusive Bite Equilibration Technique, we have been able to successfully eliminate approximately 95% of all chair side adjustments.

The Steps - 1 to 3
The technique (as per the pictures below) consists of 1. eliminating bubbles from the occluding surfaces 2. with fine articulating paper, looking for high spots in occlusion and eliminating them 3. until more stable contact markings appear. Now the mounted models more accurately represent the patient’s occlusion.

Fixed / Removable Restoration by Klausz Dental

Case Courtesy of Dr. Stephen Abrams, Scarborough, Ontario

"I have been a client of Klausz Dental Laboratory for over 25 years. The team at Klausz Dental Laboratory not only creates high quality restorations, but their case planning and attention to detail has reduced my case remakes to well under one percent. They are available when you are and with their input treatment proceeds very smoothly.”

Dr. Stephen Abrams

Case Outline
A long time patient of the practice, this gentleman refused years of suggested periodontal treatment and recommendations to wear a bite splint to protect his remaining dentition and maintain his vertical dimension.
His existing lower bridges, crowns, and natural teeth were failing and needed to be removed. Preliminary impressions, a face bow, and bite registration records were taken. The models were mounted on a Protar Articulator for evaluation and to preserve a record of his current vertical dimension. The arch was restored in stages. The lower right bridge was removed and implants placed. The remaining teeth were later extracted and a transitional denture with Locator Attachments was fabricated. Four additional implants were placed around the arch and a final titanium fixed/removable restoration was fabricated.
