"We Build Advanced Occlusal Concepts
Into Everything We Do!"
We've Grown into an O.I.C. Laboratory
At Klausz Dental Laboratories, we are committed to providing our clients with a full range of services, restorations, and appliances to meet all aspects of clinical dentistry. To meet your expectations we have grown into an Occlusal-Implant-Cosmetic (O.I.C.) Laboratory.

With over 45 years of experience in the dental technology field, we build advanced occlusal concepts into every restoration and appliance we custom fabricate. With a greater understanding of how teeth, muscles and joints work together, we can create restorations that not only look lifelike and aesthetic, but can last longer and function better. Allow us to apply the knowledge we’ve accumulated into your next restoration or appliance.

We hope our e-Newsletters prove to be informative, educational, and beneficial. Each issue will cover different topics on materials, techniques, services and educational opportunities.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with specific questions. We look forward to working with you.

An Aesthetic Case from Dr. Waisglass
Scarborough, Ontario
Dr. Waisglass

Zirconia Implant Abutment + 6 Crowns + 2 Veneers
Klausz e.Max Layered Ceramics

The patient presented missing her right lateral incisor and was interested in changing the color and shape of her teeth, along with broadening her smile. An implant was placed in the edentulous space and a screw retained temporary crown was inserted to allow for tissue healing.

After the tissue had healed, the remaining teeth were prepared and a final impression was taken. A custom zirconia abutment with a titanium base was fabricated to restore the implant and six E-Max Layered Crowns from 14 to 22 and two E. Max Layered Veneers for 23 and 24 were fabricated to redesign the smile.

The finished case photos were taken 2 weeks post-op.

Dr. Waisglass: “The lab did a fantastic job! The marginal fit was top notch and I didn’t have to fuss with anything at insert. As always, it was a pleasure working with you.”

Occlusal Splints
A Variety of Splint Options

Klausz Dental Laboratories offers a variety of occlusal splints to match the individual needs of your patients.

We are proud to be able to offer our clients a selection of options when it comes to splint therapy.

The Horseshoe Splint is a popular appliance with a flat occlusal surface made from high impact clear acrylic resin.

The Impact Splint is made from a unique thermo-plastic material and was developed for greater patient comfort. The advanced properties of this material allows it to flex when softened under warm water and thus conforms to the contours of the patient’s teeth when inserted.

The Hard/Soft Splint is by far the most popular splint and was developed for those heavy bruxers and clenchers. Its unique combination of a tough impact resistant occlusal surface with its pliable tooth and tissue side offers your patients the best of both worlds: lasting durability and custom comfort.

The Pankey Splint is made from a tooth coloured acrylic resin material. The occlusal scheme is created with one point occlusal contact per posterior tooth, combined with anterior and cuspid guidance. This allows for total posterior disclusion in all excursions.

The Kois Maxillary Occlusal Splint is designed to prevent immediate posterior tooth contact. It is more than a standard bite splint. It is a flat plane splint with a small anterior discluding element.

Whatever your requirements, we have the splint for you!

Regardless of the clinical situation, today’s patients demand an aesthetic restorative outcome that matches or even looks better than their natural teeth. Traditionally, this demand has been met by the use of all-ceramic or layered restorations. However, many patients present with signs of bruxism or exhibit worn dentition that does not allow for the use of traditional ceramic restorative options.

In the past, the solution for the most challenging of cases was full metal or metal occlusal restorations.

Today’s solution is Zirlux FC full contour zirconia.
  • Low Wear to Opposing Dentition
  • Higher Translucency than Traditional Zirconia
  • Pre-Shaded Material Eliminates White Spots After Clinical Adjustments
  • Conventional Cementation Indicated
  • Extremely Strong and Resistant to Fracture/Chipping
  • Conservative Preparations
  • 0.5mm minimum thickness
  • Feather edge preparations
Zirlux FC brings beautiful aesthetics to the strength of full contour zirconia
